Product upload: Submit your products automatically and efficiently
The product upload is one of the most important features of our PrestaShop Amazon integration. You decide whether you want to upload individual products or whole categories. You can customize products in advance. For example, you can rewrite titles or item descriptions and even add more product images.
The product upload via magnalister is divided into two steps:
1. Preparing your store products for upload
Here you have two options:
- Request new products to be added to the Amazon catalog, including attribute matching
- Match products with existing ones in the Amazon catalog – so-called product matching
Matching features can greatly simplify the process of preparing your products for Amazon. With product matching, existing items are recognized by Amazon using a unique identification number (GTIN, EAN, UPC, ISBN, MPN) and then uploaded. Item details such as title, product description and product attributes can then be taken from the Amazon catalog.
We will introduce attribute matching, which is used for new products, in the next section.
Once you are done with the product preparation, simply save it in your magnalister PrestaShop integration.

2. The product upload
Under “Upload” you will see the products prepared without errors. In addition, you will see the most important information, for example, inventory levels or prices and the selected type of preparation. Now select the desired items and upload them to Amazon – individually or in a batch.
Attribute matching: Match product attributes (like “size”) and variations (like “color”) with the PrestaShop Amazon integration
With this feature you can save time & effort during product preparation. Attribute matching has one key advantage: You create product variations and attributes before uploading so that they match the ones on Amazon.
Although it may sound trivial, this option touches on one of the biggest pain points of online retailers: Product attributes in the online store, for example “size” or “color”, often differ from Amazon attributes. If the matching of attributes between webshop and Amazon can take place in advance, you will save time and, above all, avoid frustration. You will be spared frequent error messages by Amazon after product uploads. After all, reading “Your products were successfully submitted” probably pleases most people.
Another advantage of attribute matching: If the assignment of product variations and characteristics is correct, the visibility of your products on Amazon improves. This is due to the fact that many buyers use the filter feature in their search, which in turn relies on product attributes.
For example, imagine that a customer is looking for green flip-flops in size 9. In this case, he can refine the search on Amazon using the corresponding filter so that only the matching offers appear on the results pages. When product attributes such as color or size are not correctly specified, your products will hence not be displayed on the search results page. Price synchronization: Automatically match prices

Nevertheless, you also have the option to offer one and the same product at different prices on the different marketplaces.
If you prefer an individual pricing strategy per marketplace, you can create price or customer groups in the magnalister plugin. Here you can choose percentage or fixed price markups respectively reductions for the respective marketplaces.
Update and synchronize your inventory via the PrestaShop Amazon integration
Your store inventory is always up to date thanks to the inventory feature. You can use PrestaShop inventory management or a connected inventory management system to manage everything conveniently and centrally: Our add-on will reconcile the PrestaShop inventory with Amazon and all other connected marketplaces for you.
How it works: When orders are imported, magnalister recognizes the product using the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU). If product and SKU match the product purchased on Amazon, magnalister reduces the stock of the webshop product accordingly. For connected inventory management systems that rely on the store’s data, the content is also seamlessly synchronized.**
Another helpful feature: You can remove products from Amazon using the “Inactive items” option, but continue to offer them in your online store.
The inventory synchronization can be deactivated – in case you don’t want to use it.
Automatic order import: Import and manage Amazon orders with ease
The automated order processing enables you to automatically import all Amazon orders into your PrestaShop store system. In case of “Fulfillment by Amazon” (Amazon FBA), an FBA note will be inserted accordingly. The Amazon order number (order ID) is also stored in the order details. This allows you to better assign and select your orders overall. Information such as shipping and payment methods are submitted to Amazon and, thanks to magnalister, understood by your store system. This in turn avoids errors in your imported orders.
You will also be able to inform Amazon customers about the status of their order, using email templates. If required, this can also be done directly and automatically from your PrestaShop. The creation of notification messages is further simplified with the help of placeholders.
Order status matching: Submit the order status using the PrestaShop Amazon sync
In their customer account, Amazon customers can see the current order status (such as “shipped”). Therefore, merchants must provide Amazon with this information. Amazon also uses it to determine shipping reliability in the interest of their buyers. Being able to submit order status changes such as “shipped” or “canceled” directly from the online store to Amazon therefore poses a real advantage. Tracking codes and shipping companies are also submitted.
The feature has several advantages: You no longer have to worry about the order status. Moreover, if you reliably fulfill the above requirements, your chances of a better ranking as well as being awarded with the popular Amazon Buy Box (shopping cart field) increase. The Buy Box is not automatically displayed for every product.
Invoice upload: Submit invoices to Amazon
Sellers can provide invoices to their buyers as part of Amazon’s sales tax service in two different ways. Either Amazon creates the invoices for you, including sales tax, or you upload the invoices yourself. In the latter case, Amazon only handles the sales tax calculation (VCS-Lite). With magnalister you can upload invoices from your online store to Amazon right when they are created. How you submit the invoices is up to you: They can be generated by the magnalister Invoice Wizard or within the store system before being uploaded to Amazon.

This in turn allows you to redefine certain functions. With update-safe hook points, the PrestaShop Amazon integration can be customized according to your ideas and workflow. If, for example, some order information is particularly important to you, you can use magnalister to output customized fields in your store backend. Let’s assume that a marketplace issues special information – for example, a marketplace-specific order number – and magnalister does not submit this by default.
