In our new series of posts we will introduce you to the faces behind magnalister one by one: From development to design, marketing and customer service to management, you’ll get to know many members of our dynamic team.
Today we continue with Johannes, a programmer who has been working in technical support at magnalister for many years. There he assists our more than 3,000 customers in word and deed with their questions and problems. He sees his life motto “always give everything” as well as his great patience as basic requirements for his job.
All questions we asked Johannes as part of his introduction as well as his extremely interesting answers can be found here:
1. What are your responsibilities at magnalister?
I work in technical support and thus support our customers with questions or problems of a technical nature. Or in other words: I make sure that they are happy and can successfully sell their products on the numerous marketplaces.
2. What did you do before you joined us?
I was a programmer at xt:Commerce – the provider of one of the first classic store systems – and also worked independently as an Internet service provider.
3. What do you like most about magnalister?
In a nutshell: The concept behind our plugin is terrific, which is why I can stand behind it 100%.
4. There are also stressful days at work: What do you do in your free time and how do you recharge your batteries?
In fact, I have many different hobbies, including making music professionally in various bands, building model airplanes, and restoring old-timers, with which I even race every now and then.
5. Do you have a life motto or a mantra?
Always give everything!
6. What does a perfect lunch break look like for you?
I’m a simple man in that respect: a small snack and – very important – a cup of coffee are enough for me.
7. What do you look forward to most after a long day at work?
I’m definitely looking forward to spending time with my family the most.
8. What is your favorite snack at your desk?
There is no eating at the desk!
9. Do you listen to music at work? If so: what genre, at what volume and why?
No, because as a musician I always listen to music analytically, so to speak. That’s not compatible with my work (men aren’t really supposed to be able to multitask).
10. Do you have a special talent? If yes: Which one?
My patience, which is very important for my job. I am happy to answer technical inquiries even several times.
11. Why did you choose magnalister as your employer?
Primarily because I find the concept of magnalister simply terrific. I know of nothing comparable and am therefore very proud to work here!
